A Superhero Birthday
1952-2004
I want to say a big Happy Birthday to a real life Superhero! He was born on this day in New York City 1952. This 6'4 gorgeous man donned the cape and iconic S as Superman between 1978-1987. He's the most notable Superman to date and the one we most think about when the name Superman is mentioned.
In 1995 he became paralyzed after a horse-back riding accident. Even though he no longer had the use of his towering body he didn't lose sight of what was really important, that being family and helping others with similar disabilities.
Christopher Reeve was a Superhero on screen and in real life but unfortunately he passed away at the age of 52. He left behind a doting wife and 3 children that carried on his legacy. He would have been 60 years old today, much love to his family.
Happy birthday superman!! You will be remembered for every flight you made and for every moment we shared in the make believe of super powers... I remember how our family used to watch VCR cassettes of superman and get upset every time you got hurt. The difference.. I personally am still upset and believe you are still somewhere with your powers. Happy birthday again, we miss you
